Nilambar Das

Nilambara Das (Dr Nagaraj Hegde) is a Bhakti Yoga Practitioner and teacher. He has a PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of Alabama, USA. While he was a researcher at the University of Alabama, he founded and built a community of students under the name as UA Vedic Society, along with his wife. Dr Hegde was awarded with Graduate Student of the Year from the State of Alabama for his research, community service and leadership activities.

After his PhD, he was involved with community building activities at Birmingham, Alabama and Indianapolis, Indiana in USA. Dr Hegde and his wife have moved to the Netherlands in 2018., Together as a team, they are engaged in building spiritual communities in and around Netherlands. They are helping the current day families to live more holistic life, through the practice of Bhakti Yoga, Meditation, Mindfulness, Conscious diet, and simplistic lifestyle. Apart from these, they are also leading Iskcon Amsterdam and Iskcon Netherlands, being part of the Amsterdam temple Management board and Dutch National Council.,

Course Overview

Course Description:

Uddhava Gita, which covers the major part of 11th canto of Srimad Bhagavatam, is considered the sequel of Bhagavad Gita. It is called Uddhava Gita because it was sung by Sri Krishna to Sri Uddhava just before the Lord’s disappearance from this world. Topics spoken by Sri Krishna in Bhagavad Gita are dealt with in more detail here.
