About the Teacher
ISKCON Bhagavat Mahavidyalaya aims to provide a facility for its members to study, practice, and disseminate the teachings of Srimad Bhagavatam, along with the writings of the Gaudiya Vaisnava acaryas and the branches of Vedic philosophy, culture, music and science in the context of Srila Prabhupada’s teachings.
ISKCON Bhagavat Mahavidyalaya has been inspired by the service and efforts of His Grace Gopiparanadhana Prabhu and His Holiness Gaur Krishna Gosvami Maharaja. Their dedication toward the study and the dissemination of the teachings of Srimad Bhagavatam is the torchlight guiding us forward to serve this mission.
Course Overview
Course Description:
This self-study course, titled "Jaiva-dharma: Attaining Kṛṣṇa-Prema," is meticulously crafted for individuals aged 15 and above who are eager to embark on a spiritual journey towards the highest realms of kṛṣṇa-prema (love for Lord Kṛṣṇa). The course centers around the profound teachings of Śrīla Bhaktivinode Ṭhākura as revealed in his seminal work, Jaiva-dharma. It elucidates the unblemished pristine love for the Supreme Absolute Whole, known as jaiva-dharma, which is experienced by the infinitesimal spiritual entity, the jīva. Furthermore, the course explores how this love, described as transcendental and unblemished, is integral to the mission of the Golden Avatāra, Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Mahāprabhu, who sought to bestow it upon the fallen souls of the material creation.

Course contents:
The book, Jaiva-dharma, is a guide for those fortunate souls whose hearts yearn to attain the highest platforms of kṛṣṇa-prema. As such, it is the ecstatic endeavour of the author, Śrīla Bhaktivinode Ṭhākura, to fulfill the desire of his beloved Lord, Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Mahāprabhu.
Course Requirement:
This course is open to all individuals aged 15 and above, and there are no specific prerequisites or requirements for enrollment. It is designed to be accessible to anyone with an interest in spiritual exploration and the teachings of Śrīla Bhaktivinode Ṭhākura.
Assessment Plan:
Evaluation will be conducted through an online examination consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The assessment will measure your understanding of the course material and concepts.
