Vareeja Thakkar

Her mission is to serve and uplift individuals using music and Bhakti as mediums, with a dedicated endeavor to deepen love and devotion towards Krishna. She diligently observes regulative principles and chants 16 rounds daily. Additionally, she is part of a family where one member, is a twice-initiated devotee .

Vareeja is a certified music therapist with a master's degree in philosophy from Mumbai University. She holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from KJ Somaiya College of Engineering. Furthermore, she has contributed to academia with a published research paper on the Philosophy of Music. Alongside her academic pursuits, she is also a certified yoga therapist and Theta Healer.

Course Overview

Course Description:

This course is designed for both adults and children to learn and recite selected verses from our sacred scriptures. Participants will study Śrī Dāmodarāṣṭakam from the Padma Purāṇa and Gopi Geet from the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (Canto 10, Chapter 31, Verses 1–19). The aim is to inspire devotion, develop proper recitation, and connect with the mood of these timeless prayers.

  • Damodarashtakam- Padma Puran
  • Gopi Geet- Srimad bhagwatam canto 10, verses 1-19, chapter 31

Assessment Plan:

Upon completion of the course, students will be invited to record themselves reciting the verses in their own voices, facilitating self-assessment and reinforcing learning outcomes.

Participants are encouraged to maintain discipline during class sessions, fostering an environment conducive to learning and spiritual enrichment.
