Kanai Krishna Das
About the Teacher
Kanai Krishna Das is a disciple of His Holiness Radhanatha Swami Maharaja. He joined ISKCON in 2001. Currently he serves as a full-time monk in ISKCON Bhagavata Mahavidyalaya, Govardhan.
Before becoming a monk in 2011, he worked with MNCs such as FMR Corporation, Honeywell Corporation and others as an Oracle consultant for 6 years.
He is a member of ISKCON’s Shastric Advisory Committee (SAC), a body which advises GBC on the matters pertaining to Shastras and their applications in ISKCON.
He is the Director of academics at ISKCON Bhagavata Mahavidyalaya, Govardhan.
He is a traditional Sanskrit scholar with expertise in Paninian Grammar. He teaches Sanskrit grammar, Sanskrit commentaries on Bhakti Shastras like Bhagavad gita, Shrimad bhagavatam, Bhagavata Sandarbhas and other literatures of Gaudiya Vaishnava Sampradaya, as well as courses like Bhakti Shastri, Bhakti Vaibhava and Bhakti Vedanta to worldwide students at IBMV Govardhan.
He is currently completing post-graduation (M.A.) in Sanskrit and philosophy, and will soon be pursuing a Ph.D. in Sanskrit.

Course Overview
Course Description:
This course teaches you to recite the verses in proper meters (or chandas). About 28 meters in Sanskrit are taught in this course, that will help in reciting properly the verses from Shrimad Bhagavatam, Bhagavad Gita and other Vaishnava scriptures. The examples in the course will be from Shrimad Bhagavatam and Gaudiya Vaishnava Shastras primarily.

- Demonstration and practice of reciting verses in 28 popular meters in Sanskrit
